PE Foam Tape

PE Foam Double-Sided Tape (PE foam carrier · solvent acrylic adhesive)

PE foam double-sided tape uses a polyethylene (PE) foam carrier coated on both sides with solvent acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive. The closed-cell PE structure is weatherable, UV resistant, water resistant, solvent resistant and age resistant; combined with a high-tack acrylic adhesive it delivers structural bonding, sealing and gap filling in automotive, electronics, construction and appliance assembly.

Also called: PE foam tape, PE foam double-sided tape

FAQ

PE foam tape or EVA foam tape — which should I choose?

It depends on the environment. PE foam is more weatherable: UV, water and solvent resistant, suited to outdoor and long-term load-bearing sealing. EVA foam is softer, with better cushioning, shock absorption, sound and thermal insulation — suited to linings, packaging and anti-vibration. Both can be customised in thickness and hardness.

Can PE foam tape be used outdoors long term?

Yes. Closed-cell PE foam with an acrylic adhesive resists UV, moisture and chemical solvents, and is commonly used for outdoor signage, door and window sealing and automotive exterior trim. For extreme conditions (sustained high temperature, strong acid or alkali) run an ageing test first.

What is the difference between the DA and DB series?

The DA series uses a two-part solvent acrylic with higher peel and holding power, suited to sustained load and vibration. The DB series is a one-part solvent acrylic, lower cost, suited to static, light-duty lamination and gap filling. Choose according to load case and service temperature.

Will it bond to low-surface-energy materials such as PP and PE?

Untreated bond strength is very low. Corona, flame or primer treatment is required first, followed by peel testing with our team to confirm the solution before volume use.

What is the minimum order quantity and lead time?

Standard thicknesses and colours are stocked, and samples can be sent for testing first. MOQ and lead time for custom thickness, width or adhesive are confirmed after evaluation — send us the specification and estimated monthly volume for a clear answer.

Can you supply die-cut parts?

Yes. We deliver jumbo rolls, slit semi-finished rolls, or die-cut parts to drawing with release tabs or locating holes, ready for automated assembly lines.
